Activities & enrichment

Enhancing the learning experience

We provide lots of opportunities for students to engage in learning activities and enrichment programmes. This helps them to find their passions and identify the skills they enjoy developing the most.

Students can participate in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and Forest schools, where they can enjoy walks through the local countryside and woods while learning new skills such as building bonfires, map reading, compass work, and being safe outdoors.

There are several historical places to visit on our doorstep, including Belton House, which is part of the National Trust. Students can learn about the house's history, see all the animals there - including peacocks and reindeer - and use the large adventure playground to let off steam.

We also offer other activities and enrichment, including fixing old bikes so students can take them out for rides and learn about road safety. In school, they can learn computer skills such as coding, play board and card games together or use tools to build things like bird boxes.

And every term we embark on various educational trips to different locations around the local area, such as the Space Museum, Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle.

Many of the activities and enrichment experiences are suggested through our student council so that the students' voices are always at the centre of what we do.
